Truck hit bike rider father and daughter, truck driver absconded

Balod. On the Arjunda main road of Gunderdehi block headquarters, an unknown truck hit the father and daughter riding a bike. In which the father died on the spot. The daughter’s condition is critical. The girl has been taken to CHC Gunderdehi for treatment in critical condition. The truck driver is absconding. The police is searching for him.

Bike rider father Dinu Chandrakar age 45 years and daughter Twinkle Chandrakar age 21 years were coming from Rajnandgaon Janglesar to village Mundera to participate in the Dashgatra program, when a speeding truck hit their bike strongly near the Baghmara Tandula river bridge in Gunderdehi. After the accident, both father and daughter fell from the bike. After which the truck went ahead trampling them. The father died tragically in the accident. Daughter is seriously injured. The accused truck driver fled after the incident.

As soon as the Gunderdehi police got the information about the incident, the police reached the spot. The body was mutilated due to the collision of the truck. The police prepared the panchnama of the deceased and sent the body for postmortem. The girl was sent to the hospital in critical condition. At present, the police is searching for the accused absconding truck driver.
