Tsunami swing ride snaps mid-air at Surajkund Mela in Haryana’s Faridabad

Chandigarh: A swing ride collapsed at a fair. A police officer died while trying to save the people on it. 13 others were injured. They were rushed to the hospital and are undergoing treatment. A video clip of the swing ride accident has gone viral on social media. (Tsunami swing Snapped) The incident took place in Faridabad, Haryana. An international craft festival is being held in Surajkund. In this backdrop, several rides and stalls have been set up for entertainment.
Meanwhile, at 6.15 pm on Saturday, 15 people climbed the Tsunami Swing. The large swing spun rapidly. The swing was blown off the pole on one side. Police Inspector Jagadish Prasad, who was on duty there, and some others tried to help. Meanwhile, the swing also blew off the second pole. It fell on those who were helping. Police officer Jagadish Prasad died due to head injuries. 13 others were injured.
On the other hand, chaos erupted in the fair following the accident. As a result, visitors were evacuated from the premises. Police and officials reached the spot and took up rescue operations. The injured are being taken to the hospital for treatment. The accident is being investigated.
Haryana CM Nayab Saini and state DGP Ajay Singhal expressed their condolences to the family of deceased police officer Jagdish Prasad. They visited those undergoing treatment at the hospital. However, a video clip of the swing accident went viral on social media.
