Two arrested, including a minor, for stabbing a 25-year-old youth to death in Jaffrabad, Delhi

New Delhi (ANI). A man has been arrested for allegedly stabbing a 25-year-old man to death in New Delhi’s Jaffrabad area two days back, officials said on Wednesday. According to the police, the arrested accused has been identified as Manzoor (45), a resident of Chauhan Bangar in Jaffrabad. He said that his minor son has also been nabbed in connection with the case, while efforts are on to nab the third absconding accused. Earlier, the police said that preliminary investigation has revealed that the deceased was friends with a girl for the last 2 years and the girl’s family was against their relationship. DCP (Northeast) Joy Tirkey said, “Manjoor and his family were against the relationship. The girl’s father had spoken to the deceased a week ago and warned him not to stalk his daughter.” According to the police, the deceased has been identified as Salman, a resident of Brahmapuri, Jaffrabad, New Delhi. The DCP said, “Two days before the murder, Manzoor’s minor son and his friends stopped Salman and took away his motorcycle keys.” The DCP said, “On the day of the murder, Manzoor stabbed Salman while he was riding a motorcycle with his two sons, Mohsin (21) and his minor son (16). He died on the spot.” “During the post-mortem examination, 8 stab wounds were found on his body. The fatal injuries were on the chest and neck area.” Manzoor has been arrested and his minor son has been held, he added. Efforts are being made to trace Mohsin.” The murder was registered on Tuesday, the police said. “Further investigation is on in the matter,” the official said.
