Two bike smugglers arrested with ganja worth lakhs
Haridwar. Sidkul police have arrested two suspected bike riders during vehicle checking in the area on Wednesday evening. From whom the police have recovered 4 kg 800 grams of ganja. In which 06 cases of murder, robbery, dacoity, gangster etc. are registered against one smuggler in UP and Uttarakhand. While information about the criminal history of the second smuggler is being collected. The police registered a case against the smugglers under relevant sections. After medical examination, they were presented in the court and sent to jail.
SIDCUL SO Manohar Singh Kandari said that last evening the police was engaged in vehicle checking operation in Roshnabad near Kevin Care Kale Gate. During this, two suspicious bike riders, seeing the police checking operation, turned back and tried to run away. When the police team became suspicious, they chased them and caught them at a short distance. After searching them, the police recovered a total of 4 kg 800 grams of ganja from both of them.
During interrogation, the accused revealed their names as Lokendra Singh, son of Brijpal Singh, resident of Ladanpur Haldaur, Bijnor UP and Ramveer Sharma, son of Naresh Kumar Sharma, resident of village Pipli Jat, Heempur Deepa, Bijnor, UP. Among the smugglers caught, Lokendra Singh has 6 cases registered against him for murder, robbery, dacoity, gangster etc. in UP and Uttarakhand. Whereas the criminal history of the second accused Ramveer Sharma is being investigated. Police registered a case against the accused under relevant sections. After medical examination, they were presented in the court and sent to jail.
