Two Dalit youths crushed to death by car, police detained three
Jaipur (IANS). Three suspects have been detained in the case of murder of two Dalit youth by crushing them with a car near Ranasar village of Kuchaman in Rajasthan.
Two youths were killed and one was injured after their bike was allegedly hit several times, police said on Wednesday. Details about the suspects are awaited.
Police headquarters officials said the seriously injured youth has been taken to Jaipur, and senior police officials have also reached Kuchaman.
Officials confirmed that in the accident, Raju and Chunnilal, residents of Bidiyad village of Parbatsar, died on the spot and the third youth, Krishnaram, was seriously injured. The state government has taken the murder of two Dalit youths in Kuchaman seriously and instructions have been given to take immediate effective action and arrest the killers.
On the instructions of Director General of Police Umesh Mishra, ADG Crime Dinesh MN left for Kuchaman. Top police officers of Kuchaman City including IG Lata Manoj Kumar were present on the spot. Police are scanning CCTV footage of the entire area to search for the accused.
Two Dalit youths were crushed to death soon after an alleged altercation with some unidentified people at a highway dhaba in Didwana-Kuchaman district late on Monday night. Two died and one was seriously injured in this accident.
Officials said police are examining CCTV cameras in and around the location to trace the accused.
