Two killed in Jorhat blast, panic in the area

Assam: Two people, identified as Mohammad Iqbal and Noor Mohammad, were killed and another seriously injured in a powerful explosion at a rented house in Rajamadam New Colony in Assam’s Jorhat district, spreading panic in the area.
According to reports, the explosion occurred inside the rented house, killing Noor Mohammad on the spot. The blast was so powerful that the victim’s body was severely mutilated.
The deceased’s two children, an eight-year-old boy, Mohammad Iqbal, and a seven-year-old girl, were also seriously injured in the incident and were rushed to Jorhat Medical College and Hospital for treatment. However, the eight-year-old boy later died during treatment, while the seven-year-old girl remains in critical condition.
Police teams arrived at the scene immediately after the incident and began an investigation. The exact cause of the explosion is yet to be ascertained.
The incident has created an atmosphere of fear and tension in the area, and officials are investigating the cause of the blast.
