Uncontrolled dumper crushes bike riding couple, pregnant woman dies

Saidnagar. A dumper crushed a couple riding a bike on Swar Road in Azimnagar police station area. The pregnant woman died on the spot in the accident. While the husband was seriously injured. The police have taken the dead body into their custody and sent it to the district hospital for post-mortem. The accident happened near Khaud intersection of police station area.Raees Ahmed, resident of Rampura village of Bhot police station, was going to Swar on bike to get his wife’s medicine. An uncontrolled dumper crushed a couple riding a bike near Khaud intersection on Swar Road.

Wife Ruma, aged 21 years, died on the spot in the accident. Whereas, husband Raees Ahmed was seriously injured. After causing the accident, the driver ran away from the spot with his dumper. As soon as information about the accident was received, the police station and outpost reached the spot. The police admitted the seriously injured husband to the district hospital. The police took the dead body to the hospital for post-mortem.

Deceased Ruma is said to be two to two and a half months pregnant.As soon as information about the accident was received, there was chaos in the family of the deceased. Within some time the family members reached the spot. Police have started searching for the accused driver and his vehicle with the help of CCTV cameras installed nearby. Inspector in-charge Pawanveer Singh Rana said that as soon as the complaint comes from the family, a case will be registered.
