Union Minister Gadkari visited Hrudayalaya Hospital in Tirupati
Tirupati: Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari visited Sri Padmavati Children’s Hrudayalaya Hospital in Tirupati on Thursday. He said that the hospital has international standards and it is commendable that heart transplant surgeries are done here for free for poor children.
He said that heart, lung and other organ transplant surgeries are available only in big cities like Chennai and Hyderabad and these are very expensive. Around 1600 heart related surgeries have been done free of cost in this hospital under TTD, which is described as a service to God. He said that there is a shortage of transplant doctors across the country and more people need training.
