UP: Situation worsened in Lucknow due to continuous rain, Mayor came out to take stock of waterlogging situation.

In view of the continuous rain in many districts of UP including the capital Lucknow, holiday has been declared in all the schools of Lucknow. The District Magistrate has issued an order in this regard.
At the same time, instructions have been issued to the common city residents not to leave their homes unnecessarily in view of the severe lightning and heavy rainfall issued by the Meteorological Department. The Meteorological Department has also expressed the possibility of severe lightning.
In the instructions issued by the administration, it has been said that avoid coming in contact with unsafe buildings and trees. The residents of the district are advised to stay in their homes. Be alert, stay safe. At the same time, the Meteorological Department has issued a red alert of storm in Lucknow, Barabanki, Gonda, Lakhimpur Kheri, Hardoi and Sitapur.
At the same time, Mayor Sushma Kharkwal has taken charge in view of the waterlogging situation in the city and has herself set out to take stock of the waterlogged areas. He has directed that in view of the submerged situation in entire Lucknow, the employees should mobilize on war footing. She reached Sector D Mankameshwar of Janakipuram for inspection.
It is raining continuously in Lucknow due to which there is waterlogging in roads and houses. It is cloudy. Despite today being the first day of the week, there is not much traffic on the roads.
In view of the torrential rains, Divisional Commissioner Dr. Roshan Jacob came out to the field along with officials and took stock of the waterlogging at various places in the city. He also gave necessary guidelines to the concerned officials of the Municipal Corporation present.
The Divisional Commissioner along with officials reached various places like Pumping Station Munshipulia, Jankipuram Extension, River Colony and Indira Nagar and took stock of the waterlogging situation. Expressed satisfaction that pumping station Janakipuram is functional. He said that polythene should not be collected in pumping stations and drains and the concerned officers should not allow the situation of sewer choke to arise while traveling in the field.
Instructions of Chief Minister Yogi, instructions to officials to conduct relief work with full promptness
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has instructed the officials of the concerned districts to conduct relief work with full promptness in view of the rain. He said that officers should visit the area and keep an eye on the relief work. Immediately distribute the permissible relief amount to the people affected by the disaster.
The Chief Minister has also given instructions that in case of water logging, effective arrangements should be made for drainage. The water level of rivers should be continuously monitored. The damage caused to crops should be assessed and reports should be made available to the government so that compensation amount can be made available to the affected farmers as per rules.
