Used to provide bank accounts to betting operators, 2 arrested
Korba: 2 absconding accused who provided accounts to online betting operators have been arrested. Crime No. 338/24 of Chowki Rajgamar Police Station Balco, Section 338/24 of Chhattisgarh Gambling Prohibition Act 2022, Section 7,8 and 66 (C) IT Act. In the case, a joint team of Cyber Cell and Chowki Rajgamar Police received information that a person named Arpit Agarwal, resident of Rajgamar, was running online betting through his associates. In which earlier, the police team went near Ambikapur Gandhi Chowk Vasundhara City and raided the said place and caught 04 people running online panels.
The absconding accused Arpit Agarwal was earlier caught by the police team and sent on judicial remand. In this episode, on the information of the informer, the police team raided the absconding accused Rahul Yadav and Kiran Kumar and both the absconding accused Rahul Yadav and Kiran Kumar were found to be there, who were duly arrested.
On interrogating both the accused, it was found that during the cricket match, they used to give passbooks, cheques, ATMs and other things to Arpit Agarwal and his other associates in Krishna Book, JET Book and ALL Book panel, in return for which they used to get commission. Further investigation is going on in this. The received bank accounts were debit frozen through cyber cell. Crime 338/24 Chhattisgarh Gambling Prohibition Act 2022 section 07,08 and 66 (C) IT Act is being investigated against the accused in Outpost Rajgamar Police Station Balco.

- Kiran Kumar father Shyamlal alias Sonu Yadav, age 22 years, resident of Shyam Nagar Club, behind Gali Chowki Rajgamar District Korba.
