Used to rob people wearing a mask, accused arrested
Etawah ; A crackdown campaign is being carried out continuously by the police against criminals in Etawah district. Under this campaign, the police is continuously working to arrest the accused and put them behind the bars. Something similar was seen in Friends Colony area where the police have arrested two accused from whom the police have recovered the stolen mobile and other items. Actually, Umesh Chandra, living in Jaswant Nagar, had lodged a report in the Friends Colony police station in which it was stated.
On November 17, 2023, two people riding a bike snatched his mobile phone and fled from the spot. In this case, the police arrested two accused who had looted the mobile phone from the plaintiff at gunpoint and then absconded. Police have recovered the stolen mobile phone and pistol from them. Giving information about this incident, Senior Superintendent of Police Sanjay Kumar Verma said that a report was lodged at the Friends Colony police station on November 17. It was told that two people wearing cloth and face masks had robbed him of his mobile phone at gunpoint. Friends Colony Police took this matter seriously and later it was found that both the accused were roaming around trying to sell the looted mobile.
After this case, the police arrested both the accused. From whom the police recovered an illegal 315 bore pistol, a looted mobile phone, a knife, masks and clothes used in the incident, and along with this, the motorcycle which was used at the time of the incident was also recovered. Both the arrested accused were found to be residents of Etawah district under Bharthana police station area. After which the police took legal action against both of them and worked to put them behind the bars.
