Used to steal vehicles by breaking locks, two accused arrested with 22 bikes
Raigarh: Taking seriously the frequent motorcycle thefts happening in the urban and rural areas of Raigarh district in the past few days, SSP Shri Sadanand Kumar has directed all the police station in-charges and cyber cells of the district to curb motorcycle thefts. In this context, recently, TI Tamnar Ashirwad Rahatgaonkar got information from the informer that Bhole Shankar, resident of Dabra, who works as a loader operator, is active in motorcycle theft. After informing SDOP Dharamjaygarh about the informer’s information, SDOP Dharamjaygarh/Cyber Cell Supervisory Officer Deepak Mishra informed the Cyber Cell. And Tamnar police was directed for verification.
Cyber Cell team and police station Tamnar staff detained suspect Baldev Das Manhat resident of ITI Colony Chakradharnagar Raigarh in connection with the stolen metro scooter of Surendra Patnaik resident of Chakradharnagar Raigarh in Tamnar last month and interrogated Hikmat Amli, when he interrogated his fellow loader operator. Bholeshankar, along with Kenwat resident Dabhra, was said to have committed theft of vehicles by breaking the lock of motorcycle/scooty in Raigarh city, Tamnar, Gharghoda, Barmkela, Kapitalpathra and outside the district. On the behest of accused Baldev Das, accused Bholeshankar Kenwat was also taken into custody by Tamnar police station and interrogated strictly. Based on the memorandum statements of both the accused, a total of 22 two-wheelers worth Rs 6,50,000 have been recovered by the team. The accused have been arrested and sent to jail by taking separate action under section 41(1+4)CrPC/379 IPC in relation to the crime of vehicle theft in Tamnar police station and other seized vehicles.
