UTU Paper Leak: Professor Arrested; Demand for Minister’s Resignation
Dehradun: Amidst the nationwide controversy surrounding the NEET paper leak, a case involving the leak of a semester examination paper at Uttarakhand Technical University (UTU) has also come to the fore. This issue has heated up state politics, with the Congress party demanding the resignation of State Education Minister Dhan Singh Rawat. Meanwhile, the Dehradun police have taken action and arrested the accused, Assistant Professor Ashish Kumar Gupta (40), in connection with the paper leak.
According to the police, the arrested accused is originally from the Saharanpur district of Uttar Pradesh. He was employed as an Assistant Professor at a private college in the Jhajhra area of Dehradun. The police initially detained him for questioning and subsequently arrested him based on the investigation. Prior to this, the UTU administration had already taken strict action against the accused by barring him for seven years.
