Vasectomy Fortnight will be celebrated in Chhattisgarh till 4th December

Raipur: To make people aware about family planning, Male Vasectomy Fortnight will be run by the Health and Family Welfare Department of the State Government from 21st November to 4th December. During this period, ignorance and misconceptions about male sterilization will be removed by running special campaigns from village level to district level. During the fortnight A.N.M. And Mitanins will go door-to-door and tell the identified beneficiaries about permanent and temporary means of family planning. Necessary counseling and family planning services will also be provided to the beneficiaries during this period.

Family planning requires that there be a gap of three years between the first and second child.

On measures to promote family planning, Dr. Tonder said that NSV will be available in all district hospitals, identified community health centers and recognized private hospitals.
