Vidhansabha General Election 2023 Election Commission will keep a close watch on election expenses

Upazila Election Officer Mr. Rajendra Singh took a meeting with the district level nodal officers of the enforcement agencies in connection with the Vidhansabha General Elections 2023.

He told that the officers of the police department should establish control and send its information to the District Election Officer, police officers should be appointed in FS, SST teams, necessary steps should be taken to monitor the transportation of cash, goods, weapons, Information related to the confiscation of drugs, liquor should be made available to the Election Expenditure Monitoring Cell on a daily basis, instructions were given to ensure monitoring of expenditure sensitive pockets and to strengthen the monitoring system by identifying toll points.
He informed that the Information and Public Relations Department has been entrusted with monitoring the news and advertisements published in newspapers related to elections, keeping a complete vigil on social media, monitoring newspapers and advertisements in cases related to violation of Adarsh Aadhaar Code, regarding paid news. Instructed to keep full vigilance and to make information available to the Election Expenditure Monitoring Cell and to monitor the published or broadcast advertisements related to the criminal antecedents of the candidates.
He told that directing all the bank branches or post offices of the district to provide dedicated counter services to the candidates for opening accounts for election purposes and for deposit or withdrawal, to closely monitor suspicious banking transactions, and inform election expenditure daily. Ensure that the information or information about suspicious banking transactions is made available to the Monitoring Cell and the Income Tax Department and the Election Commission of Rajasthan are informed.
He told that the Nodal Officer of the Commercial Tax Department should set up a control room and send its information to the District Election Officer, monitor the transportation of illegal goods and take immediate action on receipt of information about distribution of illegal goods and check the stock of material in excessive quantity. He informed that nodal officer of the Income Tax Department should be appointed to send information, in case of suspicion of presence of large amount of cash and valuables, action should be taken on the information of District Election Officer or Returning Officer, monitoring illegal cash transportation and expenditure. Will ensure special monitoring on sensitive pockets.
He informed that the Transport Department, Railway, Airport and Narcotics Department will monitor the illegal transport or distribution of various goods, banned narcotics, etc. under the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly General Election 2023, in the event of transport or distribution of illegal contraband, the concerned agency and district Will inform the officer. The Treasurer will make arrangements for depositing the illegal amount or material seized by the FS and SST teams in the double lock of the treasury and will take complete advance action.
