Director R. Balki’s sports drama film ‘Ghoomar’ released across the cinema halls on Friday (August 18). It stars Abhishek Bachchan and Saiyami Kher in lead roles. The film was promoted a lot. Although ‘Ghoomar’ has received good reviews from the critics and the audience and is being described as an inspirational film.
The story is based on a female cricketer who later loses her right hand due to an accident. However, even after this, her dream of playing cricket for the country remains intact and after all the struggle, she plays cricket with the help of coach Abhishek Bachchan. First she is a batsman, but later she wreaks havoc by becoming a bowler.

Meanwhile, Sunny Deol’s film ‘Gadar 2’ is on fire. The film has entered the 300 crore club. According to the box office tracker, the film has earned 19.5 crores on the 8th day i.e. second Friday (August 18), after which the total collection of the film has gone up to 304.13 crores. ‘Gadar 2’ has become the 12th Hindi film to earn 300 crores.
Talking about worldwide earnings, ‘Gadar 2’ has earned Rs 369 crores. The budget of the film is only 80 crores. Now let’s look at ‘OMG 2’. The film earned Rs 4.75 crore on 18th August i.e. on the 8th day of its release. Its total earning has gone up to Rs 89.80 crore. According to Sacnilk report, the film collected 10.26 crores on Day 1, 15.03 crores on Day 2, 17.55 crores on Day 3, 12.06 crores on Day 4, 17.02 crores on Day 5, 7.02 crores on Day 6 and 5.25 crores on Day 7.
