Vijay will announce the winning candidates: Thawka Leadership

Tamil Nadu: The party leadership has stated that party leader Vijay will announce the candidates contesting the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections on behalf of the Thavaka party.

The Thavaka party is contesting the 2026 Assembly elections for the first time. In light of this, the party is accelerating its election preparations. In addition, training workshops are being conducted for polling station-wise officials under the theme ‘My Booth – Thavaka Booth’.

Meanwhile, following reports that the list of Thavaka candidates would be released on Sunday, the party leadership has clarified the matter.

In this regard, a statement issued by the Thavaka leadership on Sunday said: The candidates contesting the upcoming 2026 Assembly elections on behalf of Thavaka will be announced only by party leader Vijay.

Therefore, the information circulating about the announcement of Thavaka candidates is not true. What is currently happening are merely consultative meetings for constituency and polling station-wise officials. The statement added that information regarding the candidates will be formally announced only after inspection by Thavaka leader Vijay.
