VIJAYAWADA: Kesineni Nani will soon resign as MP and later leave TDP
Vijayawada: Dissatisfied with TDP supremo N Chandrababu Naidu’s directive not to interfere in party matters, Vijayawada MP Kesineni Srinivas (Nani) has felt that it is not appropriate for him to continue in the party from now on.

It is said that Nani was upset with the party’s decision to give the ticket to his younger brother Shivnath (Chinni) in his place in Vijayawada Lok Sabha constituency. TDP has appointed Chinni in-charge of Vijayawada parliamentary constituency and he is overseeing the arrangements for the public meeting to be addressed by Naidu in Tiruvuru on Sunday as part of the ‘Ra Kadalira’ programme.
Followers of both Nani and Chinni were involved in a clash during the coordination committee meeting held in Tiruvuru on January 3.
This attracted the attention of the TDP high command and a message has been sent to Nani to stay away from getting involved in party matters.
Nani revealed on social media that Naidu had instructed him not to get involved in party matters. He said three senior TDP leaders met him and told that the party has appointed another person in-charge for the public meeting and Naidu has also decided to give a chance to someone else from Vijayawada region in the next elections.
Talking to media persons, he said that being the party supremo, Naidu will have some compulsions and he will not find any fault in them. “However, I have to respect the views of my supporters and take future action after discussing with them,” he said. This has increased speculation as to what Nani’s next step will be.
Meanwhile, TDP Rajya Sabha member Kanakmedla Ravindra Kumar met Nani and is understood to have urged him to remain in the party. However, Nani said that it was a courtesy call.
