Vivo Y500i with a big 7,200mAh battery debuts under vivo Y500 series

Vivo has launched a new Y500 series phone in China. The vivo Y500i will be the newest addition to the vivo Y500 series, which already consists of the Y500 and Y500 Pro, which were unveiled last year.
The new Y500i smartphone of Vivo comes with a massive 7,200mAh battery and a 6.75-inch LCD display. It sports a 50MP lone sensor at the back. It is IP68/69 rated for dust and water resistance.
Specifications
The vivo Y500i features a 6.75-inch LCD display with HD+ resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and 1,200 nits peak brightness. The display houses a hole-punch cutout for the selfie camera, which is a 5MP lens.
It packs a 7,200mAh lithium-ion battery that supports 44W fast charging. It is powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 SoC, paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage.
At the back, it has a single 50MP sensor with autofocus and an f/1.8 aperture.
Other specs of the phone include an IP68/69 rating, SGS Gold Label 5-star certification for durability, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, USB-C port, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and an infrared sensor.
The vivo Y500i is 8.49mm thick and weighs 219 grams. It is currently available for purchase in China in Galaxy Silver, Phoenix Gold, and Obsidian Black color options.
Price
The Y500i phone has a starting price of CNY 1,499 (around Rs 19,369 ) for the base 8GB RAM /128GB option and CNY 1,799 (around Rs 23,246) for the 8GB RAM /256GB model. It also has a 8GB/512GB variant that costs at CNY 1,999 (around Rs 25,830).
Meanwhile, the 12GB RAM /256GB and 12GB RAM /512GB variants are priced at CNY 1,999 (around Rs 25,830) and CNY 2,199 (around Rs 28,415), respectively.
