War of words begins in Andhra Pradesh politics due to Telangana election results

Hyderabad: The recent assembly elections and Telangana results have triggered a war of words between the main political parties of Andhra Pradesh. Even after top leaders of the parties maintained a neutral stance and asked their workers to focus on the upcoming elections in Andhra Pradesh, leaders from both the ruling party and the opposition are up in arms at each other.

While the ruling YSRCP questioned the morality of the TDP by joining the Congress in Telangana, the TDP and its allies responded by saying that the Telangana results would be repeated in Andhra Pradesh against the de facto YSRCP government in the 2019 assembly elections.

Shortly after the Telangana survey results came, TDP flags were seen at Gandhi Bhawan in Hyderabad to celebrate the Congress victory. Andhra Pradesh Irrigation Minister Ambati Rambabu, while sharing a photo in this regard, has criticized TDP for supporting Congress in Telangana elections. He also pointed to the Jana Sena Party in Andhra Pradesh forming a similar alliance with the TDP in the state.

Taking to social networks, YSRCP deputy V Vijayasai Reddy also criticized TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu for supporting Congress in Telangana without participating in the elections. He attacked TDP supporters who clarified Naidu’s role and influence in Telangana elections.

Similarly, TDP leaders pointed out that voters have rejected the governments in Karnataka and Telangana, which will be replicated in Andhra Pradesh also. Various TDP leaders pointed out that the YSRCP government has failed in all aspects and it will meet the same fate as Congress in Karnataka and BRS in Telangana. It is alleged that YS Jagan Mohan Reddy supported BRS in the Telangana polls and the results will affect his party’s future in Andhra Pradesh.

In a statement, Jana Sena leader, Nadendra Manohar also said that the people of Andhra Pradesh are eagerly looking forward to the YSRCP contesting the next elections.
