Weather update: Parts of AP to receive light rains amid expected cyclone in Bay of Bengal
The weather department has issued a warning for Andhra Pradesh amid depression in the West Bay of Bengal, which is expected to intensify into a severe cyclone and potentially become a severe one. There is a possibility that it will cross the coast of Bangladesh on October 25. As a result, coastal areas can expect rainfall for two to three days.
While in Andhra Pradesh, districts like Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Parvathipuram Manyam, Alluri Sitaramaraju, Visakhapatnam, and Anakapalli will experience light to moderate rains.
There is a chance that this weather system may weaken in the sea and become a severe weather system near Chittigong, Bangladesh, or it may develop into a severe cyclone and cross the coast. Due to this, north Coastal Andhra is currently experiencing cloudy weather and strong winds along the coast. Fishermen have been advised not to venture into the sea. The full impact of this typhoon on Andhra Pradesh is not yet clear.
