What is the difference between Nexon EV facelift and EV Max?
Tata Nexon: With such a big update, the new Nexon EV facelift can be called a completely new car. However, it is also important to look at it from the perspective of the Nexon EV Max. EV Max was earlier the most powerful variant of Nexon due to more range and updated parts, but now many major changes are being seen in the new Nexon EV. About which we are going to tell further.
design
The new Nexon is slightly longer than its predecessor EV Max, while in terms of design the new look is clearly visible compared to the petrol/diesel Nexon. Unlike the blue accent Max, the new Nexon has a different aerodynamic bumper and a colored faux grille. Furthermore, unlike the Nexon EV Max, the difference between the ICE Nexon and the EV One is obvious. Additionally, there is full-width LED lighting, which is EV specific along with aero insert wheels. Due to the new branding the .ev badge is also now present.
cabin
The Max has received some updates during production, while its Dark variant has received a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen. However, now Tata has clearly focused on the Nexon EV and has completely delinked it from the ICE variant. Which now has a larger 12.3-inch touchscreen, which is exclusive to the new Nexon EV unlike the earlier Nexon EV Max. It also has a dedicated app suite that you can use to watch movies while charging the car. The Nexon EV now also has a new touch panel and a new gear selector. Like the new Nexon ICE, the new Nexon EV also now comes with features like 360 degree camera with blind view monitor. Of course, the region mode in the new Nexon EV is set to the steering paddle shifters.
Range and performance
The new Nexon EV now has a new battery, which is 20 kg lighter. Apart from this, better cooling and better battery management has also been taken care of compared to the previous Nexon EV. To further extend the range, the EV is also available with low rolling resistance tyres. In terms of power, the new Nexon EV is 145 and 215Nm, which is less compared to the Max’s 143 bhp and 250 Nm power output and in terms of range, its range with the same battery pack with slight changes is 465 km, while Maximum range is 453 km. Other changes include V2V and V2L feature with a top speed of 150 km/h.
