Wherever you are, there is my festival…PM Modi’s Diwali with army personnel, watch video

Lepcha: Prime Minister Narendra Modi celebrated Diwali with army personnel in Lepcha, Himachal Pradesh on Sunday. On this occasion, he said that this is a moment filled with satisfaction and joy. I believe that this will bring new light in Diwali for me, for you and for the countrymen too. He also wished Diwali to all the countrymen. PM Modi said, ‘It is said that festivals happen only where the family is. Being posted at the border, away from one’s family on a festival day, is in itself the pinnacle of devotion to duty. Everyone misses family but sadness is not visible on your faces. There is no sign of decrease in your enthusiasm. You are full of enthusiasm, full of energy because you know that this big family of 140 crore countrymen is also your own and the country is therefore grateful and indebted to you.

Narendra Modi said that in the current situation in the world, expectations from India are continuously increasing. He said, ‘In such an important time, it is very important that India’s borders remain secure, an atmosphere of peace is maintained in the country and you have a big role in this. India is safe as long as our army stands firm and steadfast like the Himalayas on its borders.’ He said, ‘It is said that Ayodhya is where Lord Ram is and for me where the Indian Army is, where my countrymen are. The place where security forces are deployed is no less than a temple. Wherever you are, there is my festival.

PM Modi shared pictures of his meeting with the soldiers on social media, in which he is also seen feeding them sweets. The Prime Minister said in a post on the social media platform The defenders of our nation, who are away from their families, brighten our lives with their dedication. The courage of our security forces is unwavering. Their sacrifice and dedication keeps us safe while deployed in the most remote areas, away from their loved ones. India will always be grateful to these heroes, who are the perfect symbol of bravery and resilience.

Earlier, Modi wished people a happy Diwali and wished that the festival brings happiness, prosperity and good health in everyone’s life. He wrote on X, ‘Happy Diwali to all! May this special festival bring happiness, prosperity and good health in everyone’s life.’ Since coming to power in 2014, Modi has been visiting military establishments to celebrate Diwali. The Prime Minister had celebrated Diwali with soldiers at the Siachen Glacier in 2014. The following year, on the 50th anniversary of the 1965 war with Pakistan, he visited three memorials in Punjab where the Indian armed forces fought a fierce battle that proved crucial to the country’s victory.

In 2016, Modi had traveled to Himachal Pradesh to meet Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), Dogra Scouts and Army personnel in Sumdoh near the China border. Modi was in north Kashmir’s Gurez sector in 2017, while in 2018 he had visited Kedarnath after celebrating Diwali in Harsil, Uttarakhand.
