Whom and why do BJP leaders want to save in Jheeram murder case : Congress
Raipur. While discussing with journalists at Rajiv Bhawan, senior Congress leader and political advisor to the Chief Minister Vinod Verma said that
Just before the assembly elections, on May 25, 2013, there was an alleged Naxalite attack on Congress’s Parivartan Yatra in Chhattisgarh. In this attack, a total of 32 people including the then state president of Congress Nand Kumar Patel, Mahendra Karma, known as Bastar Tiger, former Union Minister Vidyacharan Shukla, former MLA Uday Mudaliar were martyred.
This was the biggest political massacre in the history of democracy.
NIA, the agency investigating this murder case, had investigated this incident. But the agency did not investigate who had hatched the conspiracy of this murder. Was this just a Naxalite attack or was there a political conspiracy behind it too? When Chhattisgarh Police started investigating the criminal conspiracy, NIA created a hurdle in the court. First he went to the trial court, there his petition was rejected and then it was rejected in the High Court. After this the NIA went to the Supreme Court where today the Supreme Court has rejected their petition.
Congress Party welcomes this decision of the Supreme Court. We believe that this decision has opened the way for the martyrs and their families to get justice. After this decision, Chhattisgarh Police will be able to investigate on the basis of the second FIR registered on May 26, 2020, that at whose behest, to save whom, the central government agency NIA was blocking the path of investigation? Our question is why did the then BJP government not get the criminal conspiracy investigated? If the commission was formed, why was conspiracy not kept within its scope?
