Wild elephant gets electrocuted, dies

Raigarh. A wild elephant again died due to electrocution last night in the Dharamjaigarh forest area of the district. After receiving information about the incident, the Forest Department team reached the spot and started investigating the matter. According to the information, three wild elephants were going towards hell in Dharamjaigarh forest area at around 12 o’clock last night. Meanwhile, one of the wild elephants came in contact with an 11 thousand KV live wire, due to which it died on the spot. On Wednesday morning, when the dead body of a wild elephant was found in the field, a situation of panic was created in the entire area and within no time a huge crowd of people gathered at the spot. As soon as the information about the death of the wild elephant was received, the Forest Department team immediately reached the spot and inspected the incident site and took the entire matter under investigation. According to Forest Department officials, prima facie it is suspected that the elephant may have died due to electrocution.
