Raipur. The results of the assembly elections will come on December 3 and the winter session will begin the very next day. In Chhattisgarh, the Head of Department level discussion on budget proposals for the new financial year 2024-25 will start from November 21, which will continue till November 30. During this period, opinions will also be taken on proposals for new items. The size of the departmental budget including new item proposals will not exceed a maximum of 7 percent of the budget provision for the year 2023-24.

In this regard, the Finance Department has issued instructions to the Additional Chief Secretary, Principal Secretary and Secretaries of all the departments, fixing the department-wise date for the Head of Department level discussion on the budget proposal (including the proposal for a new item) for the financial year 2024-25. The schemes will be listed on priority basis during the discussion. The winter session of Parliament is starting from December 4.
