Without the help of the Centre, the state government cannot even pay salaries to the employees: Jairam

Condol. Former Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur said that if the Central Government does not help the state, then this government will not be able to pay salaries to the employees. He was addressing the gathering during the Bharat Vikas Sankalp Yatra at Kandol in Doon constituency on Saturday.

He said that we have come among the people with the achievements of the Central Government in the last 9 years. In 2014, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had launched Jan Dhan Yojana, which faced a lot of opposition, but now when every person opens a bank account, money is coming directly into the account.

Jairam said that it is the responsibility of the state government to implement the schemes of the Centre. The Center did not keep any shortage for the state. He said that 4 months have passed but the disaster affected people are still waiting for help. The Center provided help in 2 installments of Rs 364 crore, Rs 190 crore and then Rs 200 crore. Apart from this, 9 and a half thousand houses were also given.

Now Congress friends are saying that the Center did not provide any help. Not only this, under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, Rs 2700 crore was given for the repair of 400 roads.

Jairam said that if we talk about the achievements of the Sukhu government, the only achievement is that 1500 offices were closed in the state. No election guarantee was fulfilled.

He said that no one can stop Modi from becoming Prime Minister for the third time. Former MLA Paramjeet Singh said that like the state, Doon assembly constituency is also running on Ram’s trust. Along with corruption, theft, fraud, drug addiction and illegal mining are prevalent.

On this occasion, District President Ratan Pal, former MLA Vinod Chandel and BJP Doon Mandal President Man Singh Mehta also expressed their views.
