Woman accused in Bangladeshi minor girl rescue case arrested from Baripada
Cuttack: In the Bangladeshi minor girl rescue case, Madhupatna police have arrested another accused today from Baripada. This takes the headcount of the arrested to four.
The fourth accused, Sunita Das was referred to as ‘Didi’ amongst the pimps. The Madhupatna police arrested her from Baripada this morning. The Bangladeshi minor girl was abducted by the deep-rooted racket. She was to be taken to Baripada and indulged in prostitution.
Earlier on November 25, the kingpin couple in the trafficking case was arrested. The matter came to light after the Madhupatna Police rescued the girl roaming at night on November 9. Thereafter the girl was handed over to the Child Welfare Committee (CWC).
She was lured to their trap by the pimps, promising her for a job. Police had arrested a kingpin after detaining them. Later on, another accused was arrested.
