Woman dies after hospital lift falls, staff flees after accident
UP. A female patient died after a lift fell in a private hospital in Meerut. During this, three people including 2 staff were injured. After this, the patient’s attendants created a ruckus in the hospital and vandalized it. It is alleged that the hospital staff disappeared after the accident. After about 45 minutes of effort, all the trapped people were taken out by breaking the lift gate. The family members of the female patient took out the trapped people with the help of other people. After getting information about this matter, the police reached the spot and somehow calmed down the ruckus.
According to the information, this case is of Capital Hospital in Lohia Nagar police station area of Meerut. Here on Thursday evening, the hospital lift broke and fell. During this, the woman riding in the lift died. Apart from the woman, there were 3 people in the lift, including 2 hospital employees, who got injured. As soon as the information of this incident was received, the attendants came near the lift and a crowd gathered.
A woman named Karishma was admitted to the hospital for delivery. After the delivery in the evening, she was being shifted to the ward below in the lift. Two staff members and another person were also in the lift with the woman. As soon as the lift started going down to the ground floor, the accident happened and the lift fell down.
The woman got stuck in the lift, due to which her condition worsened. As soon as the lift fell, there was a commotion in the hospital. After this, after about 45 minutes of struggle, somehow the lift was broken and everyone was taken out. The police was informed about this matter. The police and fire brigade team also reached the spot and admitted the injured to another hospital, where the female patient was declared dead. It is being told that a total of 13 patients were admitted in the hospital. After the uproar in the hospital, the admitted patients were shifted to another hospital.
