Woman dies after jumping from moving train
Balangir: As the express train approached Badamal station, the woman and her two children tried to get down while the train was moving. Unfortunately, the woman fell and hit her head on the platform. A woman died after jumping from a moving train in Odisha’s Balangir district on Friday, while her two children had a narrow escape. According to reports, the woman was waiting for a passenger train at Balangir station to go to Titlagarh with her children. As soon as the train arrived at the station, they boarded it. Later he realized that it was an express train and not the one for which he had booked tickets.
GRP personnel took him to the Community Health Center located at Badamal. But doctors declared the woman dead in the hospital. Hospital sources said her two children survived the fall with minor injuries and are stable.
Police have informed the family of the woman, who was a resident of Jorasinghar in Devgaon block of the district, about the incident.
