Woman dies due to lightning strike

Bilaspur. A woman died and her husband and daughter were badly burnt due to lightning while working in the field. The incident is of Saturday evening. Shashi Yadav, 38, of Basia village in Bilha area was tilling her farm with husband Birbal Yadav, 10-year-old daughter Neelu and a few others.

Meanwhile, the clouds thundered with heavy rain. Everyone came and stopped under the tree on the ridge of the field. Meanwhile, all three got scorched due to lightning. The villagers immediately took her to Community Health Center Bilha, where the doctors declared Shashi Bai dead. Burnt husband and daughter have been admitted to Sims Hospital, Bilaspur.
