Woman dies in road accident
Palamu: A woman returning from the temple with her mother-in-law after worshiping died in a road accident in Palamu. The accident happened in Chhatarpur area. A woman died after being hit by a bus going from Korba to Dehri Onson via Aurangabad. According to people, a woman was hit from behind by a speeding bus. After this the woman got hit by the wheel of the bus. Due to this tragic incident the woman died on the spot. The incident happened around five in the morning. The woman used to go to the temple every day and take a morning walk on this route. The woman’s family lives near a high school in Chhatarpur.
The driver and his companion left the bus and ran away
After hitting the woman, the bus driver and the passenger managed to escape, leaving the vehicle at the spot. People nearby tried to catch him. Angry people blocked the road. According to the information received, the jam lasted for about five hours. People raised slogans demanding work and compensation to the family of the deceased woman.
After receiving information about the incident, police officers reached the spot. He somehow pacified the angry people and got the traffic jam cleared. Police seized the bus and sent the woman’s body to Sadar Hospital in Daltenganj for post-mortem. The deceased woman has two children.
