Woman stabbed to death, accused arrested
Bijnor (IANS). Sherkot police station in Uttar Pradesh’s Bijnor district has arrested a 50-year-old man for allegedly stabbing a 45-year-old woman to death.
The accused has been identified as Shamim Ahmed, a resident of Harewali village in Bijnor. Additional Superintendent of Police Dharam Singh said that on September 4, information was received regarding the body of a 45-year-old woman being found on the banks of the Afzalgarh Road near the Nutri Canal on the PRV. The body was identified as Shamina Khatoon (45).
The ASP said, during preliminary investigation, it was revealed that there was also some dispute between Shamim and Shamina Khatoon over the issue of transactions. On interrogation, the accused has accepted his involvement in the murder case.
