Woman’s skeleton found in Bijnor, police starts investigation
Bijnor: The skeleton of a woman has been found in a sugarcane field near Pitupura Madaiya village of Seohara police station area of Bijnor district of Uttar Pradesh. Police sources said that some pieces of summer clothes were found on his body, which indicated that he might have died long ago.
According to the police, PCR received a call regarding the skeleton at around 11 am on Saturday morning. The caller told police that a foul smell was coming from his farm, police said. A skeleton has been found in a sugarcane field.
On information, police reached the spot and took the skeleton to the district government hospital for post-mortem. The villagers told the police that they had smelled a foul smell coming from the sugarcane fields while going to the fields in the morning.
Bijnor Senior Superintendent of Police Neeraj Kumar Jadaun said that a woman from the village had gone to collect fodder from home on September 20 and had gone missing since then. In this regard, the family members had also lodged a missing complaint in Seohara police station. Only post-mortem can reveal the cause of death. We cannot comment on this matter. At the same time, further investigation is going on in this matter. (IANS).
