Women launched campaign against drugs, miscreants beheaded woman
Bilaspur. In Bilaspur, miscreant youths attacked women giving the message of awareness against drugs with bricks. In this attack, a girl has suffered injuries on her head. The police have registered a case against the attackers in the matter. The incident is of Masturi police station area. Bindiya Kenvat (23), a resident of village Lavar, told the police that she is a member of the Chhattisgarh Mahila Sabha in the village. Women’s groups are campaigning in every village for anti-drugs and prohibition of liquor. Under this, on Saturday late evening, she had gone out to give a message of awareness to the people in the village. There were also women with him. All the women had reached Dhanuvarpara of the village.
Only then Arvind alias Chhotu Kenwat and Amit Kenwat’s youths came. He started abusing the women by asking them not to ban liquor, which the women opposed. Both the youths started abusing the women opposing the campaign against drugs, on which the women refused them. Then suddenly the youths started throwing bricks at the women. Meanwhile, the brick hit Bindiya’s head, causing serious head injuries. Both the youths misbehaved with the women and also flirted. On opposing the women, they started attacking with bricks. Somehow the women intervened. Then took the injured girl to the hospital. Even after this, the police has done formalities by registering a case of simple assault against the attackers, for which there is resentment among the women.
