Korea. Chhattisgarh government has continuously started many schemes to promote Millets Mission. Minor forest produce, tendu leaves, the main source of income for the tribal areas, is being purchased at support price, while lac cultivation has been given the status of agriculture. Yesterday, in the program of distribution of funds to the beneficiaries of Godhan Nyay Yojana, Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel made a big announcement in the interest of millets producing farmers. He announced increase in the support price of Kodo and Kutki. Shri Baghel announced to increase the support price of Kodo from Rs 3000 per quintal to Rs 3200 per quintal and the support price of Kutki from Rs 3100 per quintal to Rs 3350 per quintal for Kharif 2023. The Chief Minister said that the Central Government does not declare the support price of Kodo and Kutki. The State Government had several times requested the Center to declare the support price of Kodo and Kutki but it was not announced by the Central Government. Therefore, with the aim of encouraging the millets producing farmers of Chhattisgarh, the support price of Kodo-Kutki is being declared by the state government.
