Worker dies in steel plant, company manager gives Rs 6 lakh as compensation
A worker died after falling from a height at Anjani Steel in Taraimal area. The family expressed anger over the accident caused by work being carried out ignoring safety standards. Rakesh Kumar Singh (27), a resident of Balbhadrapur in Ara Bihar, was working in Anjani Steel Plant while living in Gerwani for the last two years. The worker was being employed by the contract company JK Aditya Agency. On Saturday morning, the work of installing a shed was going on in the company. Rakesh and two other workers were working 35 feet above without a safety belt. There were cranes and other machines below the place where the work was going on. chhattisgarh
Rakesh was walking on the sheet while working. During this, he slipped from the plastic sheet placed in between for light and fell on the crane below. He was admitted to the medical college in an injured condition. Where he died during treatment at 1 pm. After getting the information, Chakradharnagar police registered a case and after the family members reached the spot, they conducted the post-mortem and handed over the body to the family members. The family members said that the accident happened at 10 am. They were informed about it at 1 pm. By the time the family members got to know about it, the young man had died.
