Workshop for mass wedding organizers on August 8
A workshop will be organized on August 8 at the Office of the Assistant Director, Women’s Empowerment Department, Sabela Bypass Road, to provide benefits of the Chief Minister’s Group Marriage and Grant Scheme and to end social evils from mass marriages and bring harmony in the society.
In this, all the mass marriage organizers, social organizations and non-governmental organizations of Dungarpur district will be given information about ‘Chief Minister’s Mass Marriage and Grant Scheme 2021’ in mass marriages to be organized in the coming year.
The Assistant Director of the Women’s Empowerment Department said that under the Chief Minister’s Group Marriage and Grant Scheme, there is a provision to give a total grant amount of Rs 25 thousand per couple. Under this scheme, Rs 14,000 is transferred to the bride’s account on the day of marriage, Rs 7,000 after marriage registration and Rs 4,000 per couple is transferred to the account of the organization organizing the mass marriage.
He told that there is a provision to give additional assistance of Rs 10 lakh to the organizing body for mass marriage of at least 25 couples belonging to different communities, castes and religions at one place at the same time. In this marriage of at least five couples of each society, caste and religion is necessary.

Meeting on criminal cases on 29th
Dungarpur, 7 August. For quick and successful disposal of criminal cases related to atrocities on women, a meeting will be organized in the Collectorate Auditorium under the chairmanship of the District Collector at 4 pm on August 29.
Additional District Collector Hemendra Nagar has instructed the concerned officers to submit the compliance report of the last meeting before August 21 and compulsorily attend the meeting.
