Wrestling: Sunil won bronze in Greco-Roman 87 kg

Hangzhou (IANS). India’s Sunil Kumar won the bronze medal in the Men’s Wrestling Greco-Roman 87 kg category by defeating Kyrgyzstan’s Atabek Azisbekov 2-1.

This is the first medal for India in Greco-Roman style after 2010.

Earlier, Sunil had won 9-1 over Tajikistan’s Sukhrob Abdulkhaev in the quarter-finals and 4-3 against China’s Peng Fei in the pre-quarterfinals.

However, the 24-year-old lost 1-5 in the semi-finals against Iran’s Nasser Alizadeh.
