Raipur. Voting for the assembly elections in Chhattisgarh is to be held on 7 and 17 November. During this period, Electoral Photo Identity Cards have been issued to all the voters by the Election Commission of India for voting. It is necessary to have this identity card to vote. But now in the absence of photo identity card, the Election Commission has approved 12 alternative documents for the voters, by showing which the voters will be able to cast their vote. This information has been given by Chief Electoral Officer Reena Babasaheb Kangale.
Chief Electoral Officer Reena Babasaheb Kangale said, “Electoral photo identity cards have been issued to all voters by the Election Commission of India under the Chhattisgarh Assembly Elections 2023.
“The Commission expects all voters to produce the Electoral Photo Identity Card issued by the Commission to ensure their identity before casting their vote at the polling place.”
Chief Electoral Officer Baba Saheb Kangale said, if an elector is unable to show the photo identity card, then 12 alternative documents have been allowed for him by the Election Commission of India. Those electors who are not able to present their voter photo identity card. They will have to produce any one of the following 12 alternative photo identity documents to establish their identity.
