Young man dies painfully due to electric shock, creates chaos

Udhampur. The news has been received of the tragic death of a Jammu and Kashmir Police soldier due to the negligence of the electricity department. According to the information, Jammu and Kashmir Police jawan Subhash Singh (40), son of Santram, resident of Farna, who was working in the Police Academy, was going towards his home after finishing his duty late in the evening, when as soon as he reached near the supply turn, there was electricity on the way.

There was a high voltage wire lying there and people also called him but because he was wearing a helmet he could not hear it. As soon as he reached near the wire, he got caught in it. The electricity department officials were immediately informed about this and the line was immediately closed. Injured Subhash was immediately taken to District Government Medical College, Udhampur, where the doctor declared him dead. Police have registered the case, got the post-mortem done and handed over the body to the family members and have started further investigation.
