Young man found in Raipur defrauded one crore rupees, woman complained

Raigarh: A woman living in Jute Mill area became a victim of fraud of Rs 1 crore in the name of investment in a startup company. The woman had invested in the company in the name of opening a center for skill development scheme, but the company turned out to be a chit fund and after investing more money, the director of the company even stopped picking up the phone. The woman lodged a report of the matter at the Jute Mill police station, after which the police registered a crime and started investigating the matter.

Actually, the woman living in Radhika Residency of Kabir Chowk was introduced to a young man named Deep Sihag in Raipur in March 2022. The young man told that he has a startup company named GAITMC in Takshashila Heights, Gurgaon and he has given franchise of the company in different corners of the country. The company works under the skill development scheme. The woman fell into the trap of the young man and gave him a check of Rs 50 lakh each in two installments. After a few days, when the woman kept asking him about the money, the young man deceived her about investing the money and getting all-round profits.

Even after a year, when the woman did not receive a single penny and she demanded money, the young man started threatening her. The woman realized that she had been cheated, after which she lodged a report against a young man named Deep Sihag at the Jute Mill police station. Police have registered a case of fraud in the matter and are talking about investigation.
