Young man murdered by stabbing, police engaged in investigation

Gurugram. A husband allegedly stabbed his wife over a minor dispute on the day of Diwali in Gurugram’s Om Nagar area. The victim, Rukmani, was taken to a general hospital in Gurugram. Due to his critical condition, he was shifted to Safdarjung Hospital in Delhi. According to the complaint lodged by the couple’s landlady Sumitra, the incident occurred around 9 pm on November 12. The victim’s son had told Sumitra that his father Arvind Prasad had beaten his mother.

The complainant told the police that when I went to Rukmani’s house with her son, I saw that she was bleeding from her neck. Arvind had fled from the spot and we immediately took Rukmani to Civil Hospital and later she was referred to Safdarjung Hospital in Delhi in a critical condition. Based on a complaint, an FIR has been registered against the accused husband under relevant sections of the IPC at Shivaji Nagar Police Station.
