Young man stabbed 12 times, 9 minors in custody
New Delhi: A 20-year-old youth was stabbed 12 times by a group of minors in South Delhi’s Sangam Vihar area, leading to his death. Police said on Friday that nine teenagers have been detained in this case.
The deceased has been identified as Shadab, a resident of Sangam Vihar area. According to the police, a call was received in the police control room regarding the stabbing incident in Harijan Colony, Sangam Vihar under Tigri police station at 6 pm on Thursday, after which a police team reached the spot.

Police found Shadab lying soaked in blood on the roadside. He was taken to the hospital where he was declared dead. Deputy Commissioner of Police (South) Ankit Chauhan said, “Multiple knife wounds were found on Shadab’s body. A case was registered under IPC section 302 (murder) and investigation started.”
The DCP further said that nine teenagers have been apprehended and four knives and a country-made pistol have been recovered from their possession. “Some of these teenagers were found involved in several cases earlier also,” the DCP said. The arrested teenagers told the police that there had been an argument between them and Shadab when they were drunk two days ago. So, he planned to teach Shadab a lesson.
