Young man stabbed to death, accused arrested
New Delhi: A 35-year-old man died after being attacked with a knife by a man in Delhi on Monday. An officer gave this information. The deceased has been identified as Arif, a resident of Allah Colony in Madhu Vihar area of East Delhi.
Police said they received a call at Madhu Vihar police station about an injured person near the mosque gate. “A police team reached the spot and the injured were taken to Max Hospital,” a senior police officer said.
Crime and FSL teams were called to the spot. The officer said, “During interrogation, the caller, Arif’s brother Shakir, told the police that his brother was attacked with a knife by Manoj (49), a resident of Mandawali area.
“The attacker Manoj also suffered minor injuries. He was sent to LBS Hospital where he is undergoing treatment in police custody. Injured Arif died during treatment. Accordingly, a case of murder is being registered.”
