Thane: A 17-year-old youth was stripped naked and brutally beaten on the road after he refused to return just Rs 300 he had borrowed. Two youths from Kalwa chased this young man naked in the street and beat him up. Kalwa police had earlier taken only one complaint in this regard. But after the said video went viral, Kalwa Police Station has registered a case against the accused. Allegation of stealing Bluetooth: A 17 year old youth living in Kalwa had a dispute with Tausif Khanbande and Samil Khanbande living in Jama.

As soon as the victim refused to give the money, angry Tausif and Sami called the victim outside and started beating him. Video made of the victim in a naked state: When the victim tried to run away, both the accused took off his clothes. He was stripped and beaten. The video of the victim being chased naked from the street and beaten to death also went viral.
The local police itself had filed a complaint. But the next day after the controversial video went viral, the police registered a case against both the accused under sections 327, 323, 504, 506, 34 and Juvenile Justice Act. Incident in Chief Minister Eknath Shinde’s village: The incident took place on Tuesday afternoon near Jama Masjid in Chief Minister Eknath Shinde’s Kalwa suburb of Thane… Tausif Khanbande and Samil Khanbande entered the minor’s house in the nearby Annapurna Building. The two started fighting after she accused him of stealing a Bluetooth device. He also asked for the Rs 300 taken from him.
At that time the boy denied the allegations and refused to pay Rs 300. The video went viral on social media: Both the family members and the family members beat up the boy. At that time, when he screamed for help, he started beating the boy on his back with a whip. After this both of them caught hold of the boy and stripped him completely in front of everyone. The minor somehow managed to escape from there through a narrow lane. Later he reached Kalwa police station to lodge a complaint. But the police registered only non-cognizable offense in this case. The video of the incident went viral on social media late Tuesday night.
Social worker Dr. Binu Varghese drew attention to this incident and expressed his anger. Main accused Tausif arrested: Social workers sent this video to higher officials of Thane Police. Finally, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone-1) Ganesh N. Gawde directed to immediately register an FIR in this matter. Kalwa police took action early this morning. Also, based on the complaint of the child, an FIR was registered using sections of POCSO and Indian Penal Code. The main accused Tausif was arrested this afternoon, while the police is searching for the absconding Samil.
