Younger brother beats elder brother to death, arrested
Bijnor (IANS). The younger brother of a 45-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly beating him to death with a stick in Uttar Pradesh’s Bijnor district. A police officer gave this information on Sunday.
The accused has been identified as Gajraj (younger brother of deceased Satyapal).
The incident took place on Friday night in Milak Thakhawali village under Dhampur police station of Bijnor district.
Additional Superintendent of Police Dharam Singh Marshall said, “The local police were informed by the villagers that a dead body of a man with wound marks visible on his head was found on the outskirts of Milak Takahwali village. On immediate information, a team of local police reached the spot, recovered the body and sent it to the district hospital for post-mortem.”
Subsequently, several villagers, family members and relatives of the deceased were interrogated and technical evidence was analyzed.
The ASP said that during the investigation, Satyapal’s younger brother was arrested. On further interrogation, accused Gajraj confessed to murder by allegedly beating the deceased with a stick.
Accused Gajraj said that after an drunken argument with his elder brother, he got angry and beat him to death with a stick. So that no one could suspect, the body was taken out of the house and thrown on the roadside.
Police said that a case has been registered against the accused brother under IPC section 302 (murder).
