Youth arrested with 47 country liquor in Khamtarai
Raipur: According to the intention of the government, Senior Superintendent of Police Prashant Aggarwal has directed all the police gazetted officers, station in-charges including in-charges of anti-crime and cyber units to stop smuggling of liquor coming from other states as well as in relation to people buying and selling liquor illegally. After finding out, action has been directed. In view of which, all the police gazetted officers of Raipur Police and in-charge ACCU. Along with collecting information in this regard, police station in-charges are also collecting information through other means along with appointing informers.
In this connection, Khamtrai police station received information that a person was illegally selling liquor in a white sack behind Rahul’s cart at Bhanpuri Tiraha, on which a team of Khamtrai police station under the direction of senior officers and under the leadership of station in-charge Khamtrai. After raiding the place mentioned by the informer, when the team members searched the white colored sack kept by the accused Baldau Verma, it was found that 47 pav of country liquor, spice liquor was kept in the sack. When the accused was asked for valid documents regarding the possession of liquor, an attempt was being made to mislead the team members by not presenting any kind of document. On which accused Baldau Verma was arrested and a total of 8.460 bulk liters of country masala liquor worth Rs 5170/- and sale amount of Rs 350/- totaling Rs 5520 were seized from his possession and crime number 797 was registered against the accused in Police Station Khamtarai. /23 Section 34(2) Excise Act The offense of Excise Act was registered and action was taken.
