Youth caught smuggling ganja
Reflux. Police arrested the accused who was looking for customers for illegal sale of ganja. 4.6 kg of drug (ganja) worth Rs 46 thousand was seized from the accused. Continuous action is being taken against illegal gambling, betting, liquor and ganja in the city. According to the police, on Sunday, information was received from the informer that near the goods push line Bhatapara, a person has kept illegal drug ganja in a purple colored bag and was searching for customers to sell ganja.
Based on the information, a cordon and raid was conducted. Caught. On enquiry, he revealed his name as Dinesh Bansal (19), a resident of Patharia district, Mungeli. On checking the purple colored bag kept in the hand, 02 packets of intoxicating substance (Ganja) were found inside the bag, which were found tied with brown colored plastic tape.
Search was conducted on the spot, in which a total of 4.600 kg of intoxicant (Ganja) worth Rs 45000/- was found. The accused was found to have committed a crime under Section 20 (B) of the Narcotic Act and the crime was registered and investigated.
