YouTube makes Farah Khan a millionaire, claims career’s biggest earnings

Mumbai: Bollywood filmmaker Farah Khan launched her YouTube vlogs in 2024. Since then, she has garnered widespread attention on social media and made headlines with her creative content. Her vlogs even made her cook, Dilip, a viral star. Recently, Farah revealed her substantial YouTube earnings.

“Huge” Earnings from YouTube
Farah discussed her vlogging journey on Soha Ali Khan’s podcast. She explained that her team had been constantly pushing her to start a YouTube channel, and she finally agreed. She also said that one reason was that her children would soon be going to university, and through YouTube, she could save some extra money for their education.
She said that she decided to focus on food and food-related content. It was during this time that she chose Dilip and came up with a punchline to use in the video. Farah also revealed that she received the Silver Play Button after her second vlog.

When asked about her YouTube earnings, Farah said it was “huge.” She said, “In my entire career, maybe in a single year, I’ve never made this much money, even though I’ve directed so many films.”
Farah explained that YouTube gives her complete creative freedom. She said, “This is my channel; no OTT platform or production house is telling me, ‘This has to be cut,’ nor is any TV channel telling me to bring only this guest.”
In Farah’s vlogs, she visits celebrities’ homes to cook new dishes with them, gives tours of their homes, and has fun conversations over meals. The cute and humorous conversations between her and Dilip have become highlights of the videos. This has also led to Dilip’s popularity on social media. In one vlog, Farah even admitted that she has increased Dilip’s salary since he started vlogging on YouTube.
